How long can you keep chicken liver pate?
after about three days in the fridge I find that the pate starts to bredak down and there may be water/liguid in the container, so that’s my limit. I find that if sealed airtight it keeps for up to 90 days, but should be used within 48 hours of defrosting.
Can you freeze fresh pate?
Yes, pâté can be frozen and enjoyed for later consumption. When kept in the freezer, you can stretch the shelf life of pâté to 3 months or more.
Can cooked chicken livers be frozen?
It’s safe to freeze any food that has not already had bacteria growing in it… So if the chicken livers were properly stored before you got them, then they can be frozen.

Can you freeze country pate?
Pate doesn’t freeze well, if the texture is important to you. It is perfectly safe to freeze, and will be edible when thawed, but will loose the smooth texture that makes pate so wonderful.
Can you buy chicken fat?
You might be able to buy rendered chicken fat from a very well stocked supermarket (in the refrigerated or frozen section) but you’d definitely be able to get it at a butcher shop. Sold in tubs, rendered fat means you get pure melted down chicken fat that’s had any bits of meat or skin removed.
